Went to try this place because of the high reviews. There was a long line, so I assumed it would be worth it. They only had one person taking orders, and the service was very slow. The food was average at best, nothing really stood out. The grits oddly tasted like potatoes to me, though the mac and cheese was actually good. We also tried the Buddy Ale, which tasted good, but it wasn’t even cold. On the positive side, there’s plenty of seating, and the porch area is really nice to sit in—plus it’s dog-friendly.

Parking lot is itty bitty. Be prepared to wait in line for 15-30 minutes if dining in during peak hours. Then it’ll take another 20 minutes or so for the food to be made and brought out to you. Other than that I don’t have any complaints. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and spicy. The fries were seasoned well and the waffles were tasty. Portion sizes are large. Come hungry.

I stopped by Hattie B's in midtown for a taste of the true Nashville Hot Chicken experience. Unfortunately the restaurant itself is currently closed for renovations, but luckily they have their food truck parked out front offering a limited menu. I opted for three Hot tenders, the pimento mac n cheese, and the cole slaw (in case I need to cool my mouth down). The chicken was delicious, perfectly fried, crispy but still juicy even after transporting, and the heat level was exactly what I expected. The Hot was tolerable (although I have a high heart tolerance) but enough to get my nose running - I'd recommend starting with medium for the average consumer. The mac was shockingly good. Overall the food was excellent, the guys that took my order were super helpful and friendly, I'm excited to come back once their renovations are complete!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Tried Hattie B's Hot Chicken at the Nashville Airport and was very disappointed. The wings were heavily breaded, greasy, and lacked the flavor I expected. The crinkle fries tasted like they came straight from a frozen bag. The only bright spot was the pimento mac and cheese, which was actually pretty good. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was so unappetizing that I couldn't finish it and ended up throwing most of it away. Not the airport meal experience I was hoping for. Oh well.

AMAZING! Here on a trip and decided to give it a try. BEST FOOD EVER! Their chicken is incredible, not chewy and gross PERFECT chicken. Flavor is incredible and that banana pudding is insane. I could eat this for breakfast lunch and dinner. the tea is perfectly sweet. and don’t even get me STARTED on how GREAT the staff is. So kind and helpful. If you’re looking for some good chicken. Dis da joint.
