Melissa Niles 3 months agoSuch a strange place. Are they a sports bar, are they a neighborhood hangout, are they still hanging onto way too many remnants of their predecessors… The smell of cleaner (or something else) was so strong, it took a while to go nose blind to it. The food was fine. We got portobello fries and they were lacking seasoning or marinade before throwing in the frier. The fry batter they used was like a savory funnel cake. The burgers were good. Messy, but good flavors. They do $1 wings on Wednesdays, 1/2 off bottles of wine, and HH is from 2:30-6pm, which includes $1 off certain drinks and their apps. Service was good. Seems like a close-knit group of employees, which is nice.
Matthew Landon 3 months agoWe had a great time eating here! The food was so delicious! Maegen was our server and she took great care of us! I had a chicken caprese sandwich abd my buddy had the mac daddy burger! I'll definitely be back in the next time I'm in Tucson!
Rich Gold 10 months agoI’d been hearing very nice things about The District and finally made my way in for a light lunch. The restaurant was not busy, and was open and airy with inviting decor. Brooke greeted us with a genuine smile. The menu listed dishes that all seemed good and created a debate about which items to choose. We decided to try the Asian Chicken Salad but substituted Shrimp. When we mentioned that we were sharing the salad was split into two servings for us. The salad was very fresh and tasty. Shrimp were seasoned very well and perfectly cooked. Yet one caveat for me was a bit too much dressing on the salad. It felt a bit oily on the tongue, despite how bright and tasty it was. Next time, dressing on the side will rectify the issue. We also ordered the Tin Roof Fries, and they were also very nicely seasoned with an incredible crispness outside and a creamy inside. Service was unexpectedly quick and Brooke was wonderful. She visited a few times to check up how everything was, and did so very pleasantly without seeming to interrupt us. Overall, a great dining experience.
Madelynn Franklin 6 months agoAnnette M was our server and she was phenomenal! This is my first time here, and I do plan to come back. They opened in April a Sports bar with good drinks, music and good food. We sat down at a low top table, they have a pool table And a few other games.Cute that they have a lottery machine, but it was not working when we were there. To drink I got a Southern Mexican candy drink: vodka prickly pear syrup, Chamoy, tajin rim. I also had a Peach boba breeze (with popping boba) . For an appetizer I had Potstickers (delicious w the sweet sauce). I got The district burger (with caramelized onions and added bacon). I definitely recommend to go with the tin roof fries. Season will, and thicker cut.
Christene Marie 3 months agoThe District was a m a z i n g (surprisingly so!) Maegen did not steer us wrong. We ordered: - Eggrolls (I would’ve never thought to order these and they were absolutely delicious, especially the sauce! She encouraged us to hold onto it for our fries later - great call.) - Steak Frites (the chimichurri was so fresh) - Chili Verde Spin Burger (we had never heard of this, and she liked it to a crustable… OMG. I need to figure out how they made this and try these at home. I am forever changed. And it wasn’t just the way they made the burger, the sauce alongside it was incredible.) - We got a house salad with the burger and I’m always nervous about ordering house salads… But their homemade dressing was delicious paired with it and the amount of vegetables and even the greens themselves were so healthy. - I ordered a mimosa with a splash of orange juice and they brought me a full glass of champagne with OJ on the side. Everything felt intentional. We played pool, ate so well, and felt good when we left… That’s a rare mix. A lot of times bar food can be really heavy. Maegen, you’re a gem! Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We’ll be back!
