Bison Witches Just Ended My Will to Eat Anywhere Else, I'm Done I don't even know where to start—last night I hit Bison Witches starving like I'd never seen food before, and this place straight-up saved my life. Ordered the Wildcat (roast beef + turkey piled high, melted smoked gouda, lettuce, and that honey-spicy Russian mustard that hits like a flavor bomb) on marble rye, extra everything because moderation is for cowards. The bread? Fresh, soft yet sturdy, holding up to the avalanche of meat and cheese without collapsing. First bite: meaty perfection exploding—tender roast beef, juicy turkey, gooey gouda pulling epic strings, that mustard kicking in with sweet heat that makes your eyes water in joy. I moaned so loud the bartender high-fived me. Paired it with jalapeño chips (crunchy fire) and a side of their cream of potato bacon soup in a bread bowl—thick, creamy, loaded with potato chunks and bacon bits, the bread bowl sopping up every drop like it was born for this. I blacked out in bliss, came to with crumbs everywhere and zero regrets. Staff? Absolute chaos wizards—fast, funny, slinging massive sandwiches like it's nothing. The spot's got that perfect dive energy: dim lights, random jerseys everywhere, outdoor patio for people-watching on 4th Ave, full bar pumping cold beers and cocktails. It's loud, it's fun, it's welcoming to anyone who appreciates food that fights back. Prices? Fair for portions that could bench-press your hunger. Bison Witches isn't a deli—it's a cult. The sandwiches are so good they'll ruin chains forever. Go big: try the Green Turkey (turkey, avocado, bacon, cream cheese, sprouts, salsa kick) or the Jayhawk (double chicken breasts, provolone, honey mustard). Bring friends, bring enemies, bring an empty stomach. I'll be dreaming of that Wildcat until I die. 5 stars? Nah, give me infinity. This is Tucson's sandwich throne. 🥪🔥💀 (Pro move: Get the bread bowl soup AND a sandwich. You'll thank me when you're in a food coma of happiness.)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Tucson Gem with Amazing Bread Bowls! We stumbled upon Bison Witches on Google Maps while hunting for a good bowl of soup, and the promise of soup in bread bowls instantly won us over. Located in the Historic 4th Street area, it’s a super cozy, welcoming restaurant and bar. The Vibe & Parking Just a heads-up if you're driving there: you do have to drive over the trolley tracks to get to it! It was a little nerve-wracking for us, but completely worth it once we arrived. Parking Tip: Parking in the area is rear-parking only, but the meters turn off after a certain time, which is a great perk. The Food The food absolutely lived up to the hype: The Soup Bread Bowls: Phenomenal. My husband ordered the Boston Clam Chowder and I had the Creamy Cheesy Potato Bacon Soup. Both were incredibly delicious and satisfying. Hummus Plate: Our daughter ordered the hummus and bread plate, and it was absolutely beautiful. Drinks: They also feature a great selection of locally brewed beers. The Service What really made our visit special was the service. Our server was incredibly sweet and made us feel right at home. She gave us some fantastic menu recommendations that we really enjoyed. The Verdict Cozy atmosphere, great staff, and comfort food at its finest. Next time we find ourselves back in Tucson, Bison Witches is definitely on our must-visit list!

Came in with no expectations and ended up really impressed, the place looks small at first but opens up to a big patio in the back that’s great for kids or pets. The sandwiches were some of the best I’ve had, the bread bowl combo is a must, staff is friendly but service can slow down if the bar gets busy, overall great food and vibe and definitely worth a visit.

Our waitress was really great and we were seated quickly . While they had plenty of vegan options my veggie hummus sandwich lacked flavor & I had to add a ton of Russian mustard & other spices to make it interesting . My friend at the table also commented on lack of flavor . My avocado was barely visible , sliced thin and just didn't match the giant bread slices . I went , tried it . Would I go outta my way to come back - no I wouldn't .

Was looking for a place that was dog friendly and saw that Bison Witches was very dog friendly so I gave it a go. Park in the back since the covered patio is where you'll be seating with your fur baby. Happy friendly service and delicious food. Recommend the half sandwich and half soup for first timers.
