Johnny Gamel 4 months agoAndres Burger on Brundage Lane is a longtime jewel here in Bakersfield and truly a community favorite. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, friendly hospitality that makes you feel right at home. The service is always welcoming, genuine, and consistent — the kind of place where they treat you like family. The food? Absolutely amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and made with care every single time. You can taste the quality in every bite. Whether you’re a regular or it’s your first visit, this spot never disappoints. If you’re in Bakersfield and haven’t tried Andres Burger yet, it’s a must. Supporting places like this is what keeps our community strong. Highly recommend! 🍔💯
AZ SUN 3 years agoHalfway through our road trip we were looking for an old dive & went to Frostees first. Unfortunately, everything was updated & charm lost. So, we drove the 3 miles to our other choice & we weren't disappointed. LOVE the old Andre's sign out front!! We ordered the BBQ pulled pork sandwich $7, side onion rings $5, & the French burger sandwich meal $15, which included fries & a soda. This is an outside seated only drive in so we ate in the van out of the wind. Took apx 10 minutes to get our order. Better half said he was shocked by how heavy the old time carton felt in his hand. Honestly, I should have gone with my gut & just ordered the French burger. HUGE. Easily enough to share. I ended up removing most of the giant hoagie roll to eat the burger. Fries & onion rings were cooked perfectly & the BBQ sandwich wasn't too sweet or tangy. If you like old time dives, it's worth the visit
Jeff Allen a year agoCame here for first time a few weeks ago. Food was ok. Burger was good, onion rings were decent, the service was friendly and food was made in timely manner.
jeff evans a year agoI used to eat here as a kid in the 70's and every time I came home to visit my family after I moved away. It was a must have to get the Big Big Burrito and a jumbo Cherry Hi. No matter what we ate as a family I had a BBB on the way home to LA. The indigestion was worth it. I gave up on the place when it changed ownership years ago but I was talking to my son who also moved away and he was asking me if it was still there and if the burrito was still on the menu. So I told him that I would drive by and look when I was in town next doing some work. I couldn't believe it. The place looked the same as though time had stood still and even the sign advertising the BBB was still up. So nostalgia got the best of me and I drove up to the drive thru and ordered the usual - BBB, fries and a large Cherry Hi. The drink tasted the same. One star for that. The burrito was definitely not the same as the original but half a star for the sheer size of the thing. It's much longer than the original but not as fat. Even though it was different it was pretty good so half a star for that. But, my guys... the oil used to fry that thing as well as the fries must have expired in 2023. There was no eating it. And believe me, I wanted to eat it and I tried, but I got more grossed out with every bite. When I got home I still hadn't really eaten dinner but I was so disgusted that I couldn't eat. I have so many happy memories driving into town and picking up two burritos, one for me and one for my dad, or eating one on the drive home, that I will probably give it another try someday. I hope they read this review and straighten up the oil situation. It was baaaad.
Phu Dinh 4 months agoService was great, but unfortunately the food was not. The burgers were not hot and taste mediocre. The pastrami sandwich and onion rings were okay. The fries were probably the best tasting thing we got. The slush was not great either.
