Such a nice place! The girl at the cash register was great! She was super nice. The food was fresh and delish I would recommend this place for a healthy Tasty choice. We order the Buddha bowl and the chipotle chicken sandwich ( this one the meat was a bit dry and the sauce was not enough)

This was an awesome unexpected surprise:) everything smelled so good while I was waiting in line . I settled for the curry salmon protein bowl, and as you can see, I almost licked my plate :) perfect serving size, so flavorful, light and healthy. I could feel my body thanking me for the yummy and healthy food. I will definitely be coming back for more. Update:my friend had the Asian chicken wrap and she had rave reviews too. In her words, it was filled with deliciousness, and all kinds of veggies. We discovered a new veggie (thanks you google) called a sweety drop pepper in her pasta salad - see pic. She gives this place 5 stars too !! They need to open now locations in shawnee ..lol. ok.. till next time 😀

My first visit to the Modern Market Eatery in Power and Light was a great experience. The location is convenient near the streetcar line with a well lit and safe entrance. Inside is bright, clean, and fresh. Ordering was easy. Even though the restaurant was not busy and there were many open tables, the food did take a little while to reach our table. I ordered the steak salad and really enjoyed it. Service was friendly and helpful. The restrooms were clean and had hot water. Overall, a solid first visit and I will return.

I was quite underwhelmed by my first experience here today. I placed an online order and got the Baja Blackened Chicken Salad. When I got to the restaurant, there was one single girl running food to tables, packing web orders, and taking orders at the counter. I’m sure this is why my order came out 20 minutes after the stated time online. The salad itself was good; I enjoyed the flavors and it was a good size. Unfortunately, I was given several very large pieces of onion which were unsuitable for a salad experience. Not sure if I would return.

Modern Market Eatery in Kansas City blew me away! The food was soooo fresh and flavorful—every bite tasted like it was just picked, prepped, and plated with care. You can truly taste the quality and thought behind every ingredient. They also have a lot of great kids options. The space itself is stunning—modern, bright, and welcoming, with a vibe that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. It’s the kind of place that feels good just to be in. And the service? Next-level. Huge shoutout to Melissa, who went above and beyond to make sure our experience was amazing. Her warmth, attention to detail, and kindness made all the difference. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place that’s as beautiful as it is delicious, with service that makes you feel like a VIP. Can’t wait to come back! (Photos are after we dug in because my kids couldn’t wait! It looked even prettier 🤩)
