Johnson 2 months agoThe Korean Fried Chicken were perfectly crispy. We ordered the Mix Option to try both flavors. The garlic glazed was sweet but not overly so, while the Sichuan dry rub had a good blend of umami with a slight peppercorn kick to it. The Japchae Noodles were also good, but I found them to be oily. We also ordered the K-Style BBQ Beef (bulgogi), which I would not have ordered if I had known it was the same topping used in the Japchae. It was not bad, but repetitive to have it twice. The beef itself was sliced into rectangular strips, whereas I’m more used to the thin cuts that curl when cooked. The waitress was friendly, and I liked that they have shareable plates. In terms of vibe, it gives off modern Asian fusion.
Alisha Ahern a month agoCan’t believe it took me so long to finally try this place… the food was amazing, the ambiance was cute, and the service was excellent. Food: We ordered the Bi Bim Bap and Korean BBQ Beef. Both were great! Meat was tender and so much great flavor! Saki: I had the moonstone unfiltered cold sake and it might be one of the best saki’s I’ve ever had. So refreshing! Definitely recommend. Atmosphere: great music playing but not too loud with fun anime videos playing on the tv. The lights were low but hot pink which I loved and there were a lot of wonderful live plants. It was the perfect amount of sensory stimulation for a restaurant IMO. Service: our server was so nice and knowledgeable about the menu and even spent time talking with us about the history of the restaurant. They had been with the restaurant for 10+ years which certainly tells you something about the management and owner(s). Great dining experience! We will definitely be back!
Curtis Wheeler 3 months agoI assume the name is a play on one of the greatest NBA duos to play the game and the fact that Sha Q was already taken (I know this isn't true). The food is really great, the service is top notch and the atmosphere ( inside and out ) is so inviting and chill. We loved this spot but like the two Lakers greats trying to decide which amazing play to run, good luck trying to decide which dish you'll order....unless you take multiple friends and family members and then you can eat off each of their plates. Always a solid play. Oh, but be sure and wear hand guards so you dont get stabbed....people will be protective of this food.
Courtney Hahl 4 months agoWe tried it for the first time today. SUCH a cute little restaurant. We loved all the plants, it felt very cozy. Our server was very helpful and nice. The food was soooo so so good. We will for sure be back!!
kim bryan a month agoWe ordered the Galbi and Kimchi Jigae and it was just okay. The flavors were not deep enough. The portions were good. Also they only served 1 banchan with the galbi and that was kimchi. We are used to being served a few banchan with a meal which is a Korean custom. This restaurant had both Japanese and Korean dishes on their menu. Its located downtown and we specifically drove here for the Korean food but unfortunately it was not good enough for me to drive here again. BTW, we are from out of town and visiting for Mother's Day weekend.
