Sohrob H a month ago🌯 A Reliable and Decent Burrito Option This establishment serves up a very decent burrito that handles a midday hunger craving perfectly. In a city known for its legendary and highly competitive wrap scene, the version here holds its own with a solid assembly of ingredients, good structural integrity, and classic flavors. The meat is well-seasoned, the beans and rice are cooked thoroughly, and the salsa adds a nice kick without making everything soggy. It is a straightforward, satisfying meal that gives you exactly what you expect from a traditional Mission-style spot, with generous fillings that keep you full for hours. 🏙️ A Convenient and Good Lunch Spot When in the City Finding a quick, satisfying meal in San Francisco can sometimes be a challenge, but this location serves as a fantastic solution. Midday Convenience: It stands out as a highly practical and good lunch spot when in the city. The ordering process moves along quickly, which is essential if you are on a tight work schedule, traveling between meetings, or just taking a brief break from sightseeing. Consistent Quality: The kitchen team is incredibly experienced at turning out orders efficiently, ensuring that your food arrives warm and freshly wrapped even during the peak afternoon rush when the line starts to grow. Casual Environment: The setting is unpretentious and casual, providing a comfortable, low-key spot to sit down, refuel, and enjoy a quick break before heading back out into the bustling streets. 📈 Dispelling the Online Noise: Better Than Expected It is always worth giving a historic spot a chance regardless of what the internet says, and this visit proved that point beautifully. Exceeding Expectations: I would highly recommend giving this place a try because it's not as bad as the reviews suggest. Online platforms can sometimes skew negative or overly critical, but the actual dining reality here is perfectly enjoyable, clean, and reliable. Great Value: Given the hefty portion sizes and the steep pricing found at many contemporary city eateries, the value proposition here remains very fair and approachable for an everyday midday meal. 🍱 Final Thoughts and Recap To recap, this is a very decent 4-star location that deserves credit for keeping traditional, quick-service food alive. Between a decent burrito that satisfies your appetite and the fact that it is a good lunch spot when in the city, it ticks all the right boxes for a casual afternoon stop. Don't let the online critics dissuade you; it delivers a solid, tasty meal that I highly recommend picking up next time you find yourself navigating the neighborhood!
Eric Garcia a month agoGood food here, never disappoints, remember they only accept cash. They do have a atm there as well. I ordered the Al pastor torta and it was very good. The area isn’t the best in terms of parking and there’s so much traffic/people in this area. If you have a chance to take it to go I’ll definitely recommend.
anthony 5 months agogot the chicken super burrito and I wish it had more tomatoes inside to balance it out. it's certainly flavorful and VERY creamy (so much sour cream) but the only way I could cut through those flavors is with the two salsas they give you and i used a container and a half of salsa for only half of the burrito. still rlly good, would recommend 😸
Nathan Brandt 2 months agoClassic late night spot in the mission in SF. The portion sizes are out of this world and the prices are hard to beat. Cash only and no frills, you’ll have food for 2 days off one burrito. Dining in definitely guarantees a better taste but there’s not a ton of seating, maybe 5 tables. The line may look long but it’ll move fast.
Anthony 2 months agoThe food here is incredible. The carne asada has the perfect amount of char and salt. The staff are super cool and helpful. Make sure to try the strawberry agua fresca, nice pieces of strawberry in it and it’s the perfect level of sweetness; It’s super refreshing!
