We spent the night downtown, waiting on our cruise and walk the two blocks over to this quaint little restaurant based on great reviews. This is a great mom and pop café with even better service. They were friendly and quick to get our drinks and help us ordering. I had the omelette which was cooked perfectly and seasoned even better. My wife had the French Benedict and raved about it. You can tell that they use fresh ingredients and nothing is warmed up. It all came out piping hot. I saved enough room to try the fruit crêpe and I’m so glad I did. That was one of the best crêpes I’ve ever had in my life.

Came here to grab breakfast during our stay at Long Beach. We walked past the place the day before and made a note to come try it out because the place looked like it had great ambiance and cute outdoor seating. The lavender latte was wonderful, my husband loved the steak hash. Taking off stars because there was a hair in my crepe (short and black hair, where I have longer lighter colored hair). They of course comped the dish and the waitress who had been somewhat impolite prior to this did try to make it right by replacing it, but having a hair in the meal was disappointing to say the least.

I came across this French restaurant and was immediately struck by how reminiscent it felt of dining in France, especially with a French owner at the helm. They were offering moules frites as a special that day, which brought back memories of time spent in Normandy. I ordered a buckwheat crêpe (galette) with brie and other savory fillings, and it was simple, comforting, and well done. I enjoyed it outside with a cappuccino, which made for a relaxed and pleasant meal. The service was very friendly, and the overall ambiance felt authentically French. I’d definitely return. 🇫🇷✨

This place is located in a high traffic area so parking can be hard to find. If you’re unable to find street parking, there are parking structures/lots available for a flat price. The restaurant is rather small with various seating options and in addition to that, there’s outdoor seating as well. No shade available on a sunny day so do keep that in mind. Our party was a party of 10, 8 adult and 2 children. Since there’s limited seating, our only option was outdoor seating. Service is rather slow. We asked for highchairs twice and water at least 3 times. We didn’t get water initially because they forgot, then they ran out of clean glass, and we didn’t get our water until we were basically done with our meal. I got a panini and it came with a side of salad and sliced potato and cheese square. I wasn’t a huge fan of that potato cheese since it was too heavy on the cheese flavor. I also got a glass of champagne I think. Overall, the food was decent but service is rather sub par.

😄 Liked: * A tempting menu with many options * The lamb sausage pattie adding extra flavour to a rich, creamy French Benedict with melted Brie, a poached egg with its liquid yolk and tangy salad * An excellent choice of crepes, both savoury and sweet * Attentive service and fast turnaround * Warm tones and casual decor 😞 We were hoping for: • The authentic European Hot Chocolate so thick that you have to dig with a spoon. The server had no idea what we meant when we asked if it was the thick hot chocolate and despite her reassurance, what we received was the watery version with a lot of sugar. 🔎 We were in the area needing a quick bite and the food option was satisfying, but we would definitely look elsewhere for the real hot chocolate.
