Wicked Butcher in downtown Dallas delivers an exceptional dining experience that truly lives up to its reputation. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between upscale sophistication and a vibrant, modern edge. The ambiance is energetic yet refined—ideal for both a special night out or an impressive business dinner. The food is outstanding. Every dish is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented, but the real highlight is the quality and flavor. The steaks are cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. Sides and appetizers complement the main courses perfectly, showing the same attention to detail and creativity. Simply put, the food is excellent across the board. Service is attentive and professional without feeling overbearing. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful with recommendations, and clearly committed to delivering a top-tier experience. Overall, Wicked Butcher is a standout in the Dallas dining scene. If you’re looking for excellent food, a stylish setting, and a memorable experience, this restaurant absolutely delivers. Highly recommended.

Wicked Butcher is a fine, serviceable date-night restaurant, but it didn’t fully deliver on execution during this visit. The steak was the main issue. It arrived just warmer than room temperature and couldn’t melt the truffle butter. Our server handled it well and even brought a torch from the kitchen to fix it tableside, which was appreciated, though not something you expect to need at this level. Service overall was good and attentive, but nothing stood out as memorable. Valet parking was around $19, which feels standard for downtown. The table and some of the dishes were not as clean as they should have been, and that pulled the experience down more than anything else. Sides were solid. Nothing you’ll think about the next day, but also nothing you’re likely to send back. The wine list was decent and slightly above average, with enough range to find something enjoyable. The ambiance felt like a restaurant that once had more energy than it does now. Still pleasant, just a bit dated. At roughly $125 to $150 per person without wine, the price point was acceptable, though not compelling. This is an average date-night option rather than a special-occasion destination. Despite the critique, nothing here was terrible. We would go back, but only when our usual spots start to feel stale.

My husband and I came in last month (3/13) for a date night before a candlelight concert. And I must say, this was a wonderful pairing for our evening. We enjoyed our experience at the Wicked Butcher so very much that we are so excited to come back! Cedar was our server and she was very attentive and helped us navigate the choices and gave great recommendations. We both had a filet and shared the crème brûlée corn…. Was a delicious combination. Highly recommend the smoking gun old fashioned, not pictured. My husband has already returned with his brother he was so impressed.

Finally found a proper Beef Wellington in Big D, was awesome. Service was the best! The wedge salad was great way to start the meal, plus the complimentary bubbles and amuse from the kitchen. Wagyu was perfectly cooked, corn brûlée and perfect potatoes Robochon! Iykyk - great wine selection , Caymus at reasonable price and craft cocktails were excellent. Be back soon. Great place to go before hitting rooftop bar at Catbird, or night on the town. Jenna and Cesar were so friendly , truffle butter on the steaks is also a must, Sunday is fun, dark chocolate soufflé is life changing.

First visit and won't be the last! Our server Cedar was so sweet and attentive. I went in not knowing what to expect other than high quality food. I was pleasantly surprised by tester freebies [fried risotto balls, glass of bubbly, corn Brule (thank you Cedar!)] which were all delicious and truly indicative of the entrees to come. We got the oysters to start, then the lamb chops and a filet, with the mushroom and brussels sprouts as sides. Everything was cooked beautifully, and was incredibly tender. Fully intend to go back and spread the word. The rosemary popovers with rosemary butter were delicious too! Thank you again, Cedar!
