Phenomenal experience. Waiter was very good with recommendations. Food was hot and in big portions. Fried rice was cooked perfectly and the pork was tender. So many flavors for their dumplings, bbq dumplings were great. Short wait time. Also picked up a coconut cake which was very jello like, but good. Tasted amazing will be back.

Our go-to dim sum restaurant, consistently hits. We usually get take out for convenience, but it’s a treat to dine in with their pretty decor (the lit up scenic walls change the ambiance entirely, second best thing to actually being at the top of a mountain 😂). They have some fun dishes like eggplant with salted fish, and a stir fried turnip cake with duck. Classics are solid too.

Coming from trying many Chinese restaurants, the portions here are generous, and the dishes were not oily. The plating could be improved a bit though for Chinese broccoli dish. The presentation made it looked like parts were burnt but it was the addition of fried olives in the sauce. The Yangzhou fried rice stood out. After trying several places in NYC, this one was among the top. It was light, not greasy, with fluffy rice and well-cooked eggs. The portion was fitting for three people.The Mongolian beef was even better. The beef was tender, and the onions were sweet and fully cooked without any raw taste. Although the restaurant is known for dim sum, the regular dishes are worth ordering too, especially the fried rice and beef stir-fry. The atmosphere is a bit loud since dinner time can get busy around 8pm.

There are many branches of Dim Sum Palace in Manhattan. However, the offerings are not consistent. Here on William Street, the cuisine is top notch. I ordered the Hong Kong B.B.Q. Roast duck over rice and pork and chive dumplings. There were plenty of glossy duck pieces over rice and greens. Under the crisp duck skin was a thin layer of fat that had an umami flavor that excited me. How did the chef make this incredible roast duck? I was in nirvana and decided to eat this slowly to revel in the beauty of this poultry. I ate all the duck pieces and the greens and some rice. Three dumplings came and there were average in flavor. The restaurant was filled with many Asian customers which always indicates that the cuisine is first class. In fact, I told one of the servers that the duck was far better than Ming Fong and he was surprised. There is an aquarium here with lobsters, crabs and another chubby fish. I wasn't sure if these are there for customers to choose for a meal or for show. The bar has a large selection of wines and other liqueurs. Do you know that I have been dreaming about this superb duck and how heavenly the flavor was? Now I can't wait to return and give the chef a hug!

Dim Sum Palace is a total win! The space is clean, modern and bright, service is friendly and prompt, and food comes out super fast—even at peak lunchtime. The beef chow mein is flavorful with tender beef, har gow is fresh and juicy, and the fish stir-fry with veggies is light and delicious. Portions are generous for the price, too. Will absolutely return!
