Boyfriend and I were looking for a place to go eat, and this is the PERFECT spot. I ordered the Gyro Shawarma plate. The spice level is very gentle for beginners, which makes it very accessible to those who want shawarma without the fuss. The Tabouleh is incredibly bright and full of enegertic flavor, the meat is warm and rich, and the hummus is just perfect. The lemonade is sweet. The food isn't the only draw - the service is amazing. The host is extremely attentive, charming, and witty - you won't go five minutes without cracking a smile. Please give this place a try. You will never regret it!

I had to leave a review because this was easily one of the funniest dining experiences I’ve had in a while. First off, the shawarma was incredible. The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and had that ideal crisp on the edges. You can tell they don't cut corners on the ingredients—every bite was packed with flavor, and the white sauce was the perfect finishing touch. They have American spicy, medium spicy and Indian spicy! I chickened out and got American level lol But honestly? The food was only half the story. The guy behind the counter was absolutely hilarious. He had me laughing from the moment I walked in until I left. It’s rare to find someone with that much personality and wit; he truly turned a quick meal into a full-on experience. If you want amazing food and a side of great comedy, this is the spot. I’ll definitely be back!

I am so happy I tried this place! My husband and I are vegetarian and when we travel it is always a challenge to find tasty and authentic food. This local spot is AMAZING! We had the Veggie Delight plate, lentil soup and of course some French fries. Everything was so good! The portions are generous and the prices are excellent- especially for downtown Atlanta. Service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend!

Absolutely incredible spot in downtown Atlanta! Baraka Shawarma is one of those hidden gems that you’re glad you wandered into. The food is fresh, flavorful, and authentically made. The kind of shawarma that hits you with real spice, tenderness, and quality. The menu has great variety, and everything is priced fairly for the portions you get. The atmosphere is cozy and unique. The ornate ceiling tiles, warm lighting, and stained-glass fixture give the place a welcoming, almost nostalgic feel. It’s a peaceful little corner to sit, eat, and unwind while watching the city outside. The staff was friendly and genuinely cared about the experience, which sealed the deal for me. If you’re anywhere near downtown, this is absolutely worth the stop. I'll definitely be back.

The food was amazing…fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful plus had lots of knowledge about other cuisines. Not the greatest atmosphere but don’t let that stop you, it is so worth it!!!
