Shiso Crispy - Tampa

We were downtown and wanted a quick bite, so we looked around and found Shiso Crispy Food Truck. We ended up getting Bang Bang Chicken Bao and Gyoza. We ordered our food and it came in about 15 minutes! We enjoyed the options, especially the Bao and Gyoza. They were made well and were tasty, perfect to satisfy our hunger.

I came on a Tuesday afternoon around 5:30. There were about five other people prior to my arrival that had already ordered their food. The two employees working seemed to be working efficiently and quickly to get food out and also had to go orders prepared as other guests walked up. The person working the window took my order quickly. I decided on the Ahi dirty rice. My order only took 5 to 7 minutes to come up and she did offer to bag it for me as I was taking it to go. Upon returning to my car, I decided to try a few bites while it was super fresh. The Ahi tuna and other toppings are beautifully placed upon the warm sticky rice. Wasabi sauce was securely placed in the corner of the container. The flavors blended perfectly together, and the tuna was cooked to perfection. This is easily large enough chair for two people. The ride is very filling and there are about 14 slices of tuna on top. Overall, if I’m in the area, I would definitely try other items at this food truck. If you do plan on dining outside of the food truck, there are four small tables that are partially covered from the sun.

Chicken is absolutely sensational. Crunchy banger Short rib is tuff too definitely try it Tomarra, Kala, Charles, and Yandell were all great and easy to work with. Service was quick and food was hot

10/10 highly recommend, Charles was so sweet!! I have a hard time having super spicy food and he was a pleasure to speak with and ensure we could do sauces on the side etc to make sure I was able to eat what I was buying! Food smells amazing. Definitely will be stopping by again!!

Shisho crispy? More like shisho freaking yummy. My wife went here without me once and it almost ended in divorce. The food is soooooo good and never disappoints. Don’t be off put by the fact this is in a food truck, it is quality. 10/10 would recommend.
